A few useful answers.
Can you repair a car that failed somewhere else?
Yes. Bring the written report for a repair assessment. A repair does not automatically transfer the original station’s reinspection.
Can M&A just recheck another station’s failed items?
A limited reinspection belongs to the original station, within 30 days and less than 1,000 miles. Moving to another station generally requires a new full inspection. We’ll explain that choice before you book.
Is every reinspection charged?
Maryland does not permit a reinspection charge for a repair that can be verified visually. Testing, lifting or measuring can carry an applicable reinspection fee. Ask about your specific findings.
Keep your inspection paperwork together.
Save the failed-item report, inspection date, odometer reading, authorized estimate and repair receipt. Return to the original station within 30 days and less than 1,000 miles for eligible limited reinspection; otherwise a full inspection is required.
Open your private records or message M&A for your inspection report. Share only the documents you choose with a buyer. A repair receipt is not a passing certificate.

Bring the written report. We assess the affected structure or body area and explain an appropriate repair scope and price before work. A cosmetic patch does not establish structural safety, and some damage may require replacement or make a repair impractical.
Repair choice stays with you
Repair here, yourself or elsewhere. If M&A performed your original inspection and repairs at least one failed item, your eligible return re-inspection has no otherwise applicable fee. Return to the original M&A station within 30 days and before driving another 1,000 miles after the official inspection. All failed items and any newly observed defects must meet Maryland standards. Repairs and a new full inspection outside the return window are separate.
