Privacy & data protection
How information is used when you contact M&A, request service, or access your vehicle records.
Updated September 29, 2026
Who handles your information
This notice covers the M&A Auto Repair & MD State Inspection Sites website and its connected service tools, operated for M AND A AUTO AND TIRE SERVICES CENTER LLC. Contact us at 6181 Annapolis Road, Hyattsville, MD 20784.
Information used for your service
- Contact and visit details: name, phone, email, appointment, service requests and communication choices.
- Vehicle and repair details: VIN, plate, mileage, concerns, inspection findings, estimates, approvals, invoices and service history.
- Information you choose to provide: photos, documents, signatures and insurance/claim details needed for the requested work.
- Roadside location: the address you enter and, only when you choose “Use my current location” and allow your browser, coordinates for the requested assistance.
- Connection information: hosting and security services process technical information such as IP address, browser, requests and session information to deliver and protect the service.
We use service information to arrange and perform requested work, verify access, prepare records, communicate, handle payments and disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping duties. Please leave unrelated sensitive information out of notes and uploads. Do not send payment-card numbers, security codes, Social Security numbers, passwords or protected health information through chat, intake or uploads. Payments use the designated payment provider’s hosted page.
Career applications and learning progress
Career applications are stored privately for review by M&A owners and authorized team managers. We use the contact details, experience, availability and optional resume link you provide to consider your application and contact you about employment. Applying does not enroll you in marketing or SMS. Do not include unrelated sensitive documents. Contact info@maautorepair.com to request a correction or deletion; retention and deletion depend on legitimate recruiting and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Auto Academy uses a browser cookie to retrieve completed-course records stored by the site. It does not require your name or email. You can delete those progress records from the Academy page. Clearing the cookie removes your access to the associated progress. Results are a personal learning record, not a professional certification.
Cookies, local storage and retention
Session cookies support customer and staff sign-in. The site can remember your display language and Road Ready game best score on this device. If you choose Save my details during check-in, a draft of your contact, vehicle and concern fields is kept on this device for up to 24 hours. Signatures, photos, insurance fields and authorization choices are not saved in that draft. Restore, delete or clear it from the check-in form; a confirmed submission removes it. A signed submission waiting offline is held only in the open page and is cancelled if the page closes. The public guide keeps the current conversation in the page; reloading clears it. It does not submit the conversation to an AI model. The offline feature stores a generic emergency page and icon, not your service records.
Optional Google Analytics, when configured, loads only after you allow analytics. It measures page visits and clicks on booking, call and estimate links; clicks do not confirm a completed booking or connected call. Google Ads lead measurement stays off until the owner supplies a conversion ID and label and you separately choose Allow analytics & ad measurement. Analytics-only consent does not enable ad measurement. You can withdraw either choice through privacy choices. Your choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days. Legacy visitor-analytics loading is also removed from connected workspace pages served through this Sites address. This does not disable necessary service records or hosting/security logs. See privacy choices.
Repair, authorization, accounting, consent and claim records may be retained for service history, warranty administration, legal requirements and disputes. Retention varies by record and applicable obligation; a deletion request is reviewed against those needs. We do not promise automatic deletion of all records on a fixed date.
Access and security
Connected customer records require verified access. Staff tools use existing staff accounts and backend permissions. This site requests private, noncached responses for operational APIs and workspaces; the offline cache excludes them. These measures reduce exposure but cannot guarantee that every system or transmission is risk-free. Keep your private code, PIN and sign-in information confidential and sign out on shared devices.
Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask what information we hold, request access, correction, a copy or deletion, update communication preferences, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. Start with your name, contact method and the type of request; do not attach identity documents unless the team requests them through an appropriate channel.
Where Maryland’s Online Data Privacy Act applies, Maryland consumers have rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of personal data and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling. Applicable legal exceptions may limit a request. A covered business generally must respond within 45 days, with a permitted extension when explained. To appeal a decision, contact the same address with “Privacy appeal.” Where the law applies, an appeal decision is due within 60 days. You can also contact the Maryland Attorney General. Exercising privacy rights must not result in unlawful discrimination.
Children and changes
These tools are intended for vehicle owners, authorized agents and staff, not services directed to children under 13. Contact us if a child has submitted personal information. Material changes to data uses should be explained before the changed use occurs, with additional consent when required. The date below identifies this notice; it does not retroactively authorize a new use of earlier information.
Guest chat and remembered booking details
Guest support does not require a customer account. When you start a conversation, M&A stores your messages, optional name and optional follow-up contact so authorized customer-support staff can reply. Live chat is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM Eastern. Replies depend on staff availability.
A secure browser cookie reconnects you to your conversation for up to 7 days. Chat records expire after 30 days and are removed during routine chat maintenance. End your conversation on a shared device. Do not send payment information or sensitive documents in guest chat; use your authenticated Digital Garage for private repair records.
If you choose Remember my details when booking, your contact and vehicle information stays in that browser for up to 30 days. Use Forget saved details in booking to remove it. This feature does not store signatures, photos, payment details or repair history on your device. Your submitted shop records and signed authorizations remain in M&A’s service system.
Google Maps content
When live Google Maps reviews appear, the review text, ratings and author links come from Google Maps and are subject to Google Maps terms and Google privacy policy. M&A does not control those third-party reviews.
